Internet Access
All standard Internet access offerings come several basic features. These are 1) Anti-SPAM, email virus screening and blocking, 2) Web Mail, a service to allow our customers to send and receive email from anywhere they can get Internet access; especially valuable for business travelers, and 3) Technical Support to assist with customer problems and service issues.
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
This product is for high speed, always on Internet access service including all standard dial-up services such as email, news, etc. It requires the customer to equip his PC or laptop with a Network Interface Card (NIC, 10/100 Mb Ethernet), requires a pre-qualified standard telephone line, and allows telephone conversation simultaneous with high speed Internet access. Many businesses use their fax telephone line as their DSL line. Note that we present a single integrated bill to the customer, as opposed to other DSL services where the local telephone company provides a bill along with a second bill from the DSL ISP.

Other High Speed Connections
We also offer communications speeds from 256 Kbps to 1.544 Mbps over standard telecommunications facilities offered by the local and competitive exchange companies such as Verizon, Time Warner Communications, Pacific Lightnet, etc. These offerings are also known as T1 (standard PCM or PRI ISDN) 1.544 Mbps; FT1 128 Kbps through 1.544 Mbps; Frame Relay over FT1 or T1 facilities.

Email only accounts
Customers from anywhere can have a fully functional email account using our domain names; the most popular domain for this service is aloha.com.

Basic Dialup

This product is for those simply needing unlimited connectivity to the Internet with no other services such as email, news, web hosting, etc. It assumes that they have these services via other portals or their own web site email system.


iPass
Get local-call access to the Internet from every major city in the world through PixiNet's True Global Internet Roaming service enabled through iPass! This is a cost-effective solution for business travelers and telecommuters who need to make long-distance telephone calls to access their home Internet accounts.

Value Added Services
Web Hosting
This service allows a business to have their web site in a protected, 24 x 7 maintained facility, where bandwidth is provided to assure multiple users to access the site without degradation. This also allows the user to control his own email accounts as well as, web space allocation for his users. Requires a fully qualified domain name.

Web Design and Consulting
This service provides a one-stop full service design center, which is used as required by the client. Includes graphic design, layout, coding and special functions such as e-commerce, search engines, etc. Customer may also opt for templated web sites. Includes PIXI registering and obtaining a domain name for the customer.

Web Advertising
This product allows a typical 200 x 100 pixel banner ad to be placed on our various web sites. Customer supplies artwork and text ready to be placed on the site. Ads are subject to approval by PIXI. Ad pricing is scaled based on which page the ad is placed.

DNS (Domain Name Services)
This is a service where your domain name information can be maintained by our technical staff. In essence we maintain your place on the World Wide Web by providing Internet Protocol (IP) address translation, routing and populating of Internet communications devices (routers) with URL (universal resource locater) to IP mapping information. We assure your domain(s) remains current allowing your customers and visitors to find your material.

IGetNet

This offering is a superior web browse or search method through the use of natural language phrases. IGN Keywords is the newest way to address domains rather than the present http:// www methodology. IGN provides a browser upgrade to allow one, two or three word phrases to point to the desired web domain. Examples of these keywords are “vacations”, “computers”, “gifts”, “artwork”, “adventures Hawaii”, etc. Customers may purchase one word, two word or three word phrases.

This product allows state of the art migration to Internet natural language addressing. It has the power of simplifying inputs to browsers as more and more people use the Internet. It does not circumvent the need for domain name registration and specific universal resource locator’s (URL’s). It does require a browser upgrade, downloadable from any number of sites, including ours, but will not need the extensive, programmer understandable search engine meta tags embedded within web pages.


Backup and Disaster Recovery
This product is a real time back up product that will allow users to retrieve files, folders, even the entire hard drive should it crash. The client software invisibly monitors all disk saves and creates a compressed, encrypted differential file to be sent to remote servers via the Internet. It also allows system rollbacks to assist in situations where a virus may have infected the PC. It securely uses the Internet to reach our servers where customer data is stored.

Banner Server
This product allows storage of multiple banners (banner library) for use on multiple linked web pages. Programmability is included to allow banners to be seen at specific time of day, date, month, etc. Allows customer to refresh web content simply and regularly. Banner server remote log in and access is provided or we can provide the update service. Click through monitoring and reports are also included, allowing for better campaign management.

Technical Support Services
This service provides for billable time at a customer location for technical support personnel. Expertise is available the following areas:
  • PC’s Windows Operating System (98, 2000, NT, XP, etc.) and Microsoft applications software (Outlook, Office, etc.)
